采用熱處理法去除浸潤劑(淀粉型)，將玻璃纖維布上的浸潤劑、漿料在一定溫度、一定時間內使其分解炭化和去除。處理后的玻璃纖維布的外觀是茶褐色，仍保存浸潤劑殘留量為0.2-0.4%，保留強度為70%。為了達到浸潤劑少而又有較高的保留強度，還必須再處理，進入分批熱處理階段(燜燒爐)。
